Noticing how ideas return at unexpected times

The illusion of forgetting

Some ideas seem to disappear completely.

Weeks pass. Months sometimes. It feels as though they’ve been forgotten.

Unexpected resurfacing

Then they return — often during unrelated moments.

While walking. While reading something else. While doing nothing in particular.

Context changes meaning

When ideas return, they rarely look the same.

New experiences reshape them. What once felt unclear may now feel obvious, or suddenly irrelevant.

Trusting delayed understanding

I’m learning that not all insights arrive immediately.

Some require distance before they can be understood at all.
